Designing an automatic cannulation device to provide access to Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) outside of a hospital. End-to-end design and rapid iteration of an electromechanical prototype for enhancing cannulation efficiency. Future work includes architecting system interfaces for the upcoming computer/electrical proof-of-concept: defined power/signal/data specs, selected sensors/actuators/MCU, and the bring-up & testing plan
E2 - Endovascular Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering Intern
May 2025 - August 2025
Menlo Park, CA
I designed and fabricated custom test fixtures, including a proof load tester and a 5-part assembly for a shear test study, using SolidWorks, 3D printing, and shop equipment to support validation of a Class III biomedical device. Additionally I created detailed SolidWorks models and manufacturing drawings for production tooling, material documentation, and a protective transport case, improving assembly efficiency and enabling safe device demonstration at conferences. I collaborated with R&D and Quality teams to develop test methods, perform V&V testing, and update key documentation (LHRs, MPIs)

I supervise and train users in a student-run metal and wood shop, providing hands-on instruction with tools such as metal lathes, mills, vertical bandsaws, table saws, miter saws, planers, and sanders. I advise students on crafting hammers from steel and wood for an engineering design and manufacturing course, emphasizing safe, precise tool usage and fostering confidence in machining skills.

For my junior year clinic project I collaborated in a team of six to design and prototype a next-generation reusable intradermal auto-injector targeting hormonal acne. Independently, I developed a user activation mechanism to integrate a safety interlock with a skin sensor to enable needle deployment for drug delivery. I utilized SolidWorks to 3D model and optimize device subsystems, evaluating design trade-offs against objectives, constraints, and functional requirements.
Santana Lab at
Harvey Mudd College
Microfluidics and Biomaterials Student Researcher
August 2023 - December 2024
Steven Santana, Claremont, CA
I managed a dynamic cell culture facility, overseeing the growth and maintenance of over 70 cell culture flasks, including weekly feeding, confluency monitoring, and performing splitting procedures. Designed and standardized SOPs for critical lab equipment like the Nanosight NS300, improving precision and reproducibility in nanoparticle characterization. Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of five researchers to integrate engineering solutions into drug delivery projects and tracked procedures for miRNA isolation. Presented research findings at the Biomedical Engineering Society Conference (BMES 2024) and Harvey Mudd College’s summer research poster session, showcasing expertise in nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA), next-generation sequencing (NGS), western blotting, cancer cell maintenance, and hydrogel development. Additionally, contributed creatively by designing logos and names for the lab.

Tour Guide Leadership
External Operations Coordinator
February 2023 - Current
Claremont, CA
I coordinated all group tours at Harvey Mudd College, managing external communication with academic departments to organize outreach programming. I led weekly campus tours for up to 40 prospective students and parents, answering questions about academics and campus life while highlighting Harvey Mudd's unique offerings. I also organized Admissions Office events and led weekly training sessions for new tour guides, providing guidance on effectively showcasing campus life and academic opportunities. Additionally, I managed special requests and strengthened partnerships with guests and community organizations, enhancing the campus tour program's impact.
